In personnel news, Valley Curbside Recycling is thrilled to announce that Driver Mike has agreed to take on the new role of Ambassador of Trash for the company.
Mike has been with us from the start, filling in on a number of things in addition to being willing to get up early in the morning, wind rain or shine, and pick up people’s trash. Ryan and I feel incredibly lucky that Mike’s been willing to be a part of something like this, and we couldn’t think of anyone better to fill the new position.
In his role as The Ambassador of Trash, Mike will be responsible for things like helping folks renew and manage their accounts, handling new subscription requests, and identifying new areas of service as we expand. Oh, and driving Old Blue.
He’s a man of few words, but when we asked if he’d be willing to take on the new role, he said “yea.” Don’t you just love this guy?! Then he went out and proved it, signing up a new customer just 20 minutes into his route.
This guy’s a natural. Please join us in welcoming The Ambassador of Trash, Mike Kanavel!
